2SLGBTQ+ Newcomers Program
The Centre for Newcomers offers mentoring, income support, support groups, career development support, and more for queer landed immigrants and permanent residents.
2SLGBTQ+ Refugee Centre
The Centre for Newcomers offers a number of services specifically for queer refugee claimants, asylum seekers, temporary residents, and those in Canada without official papers or status. This includes assistance in becoming a documented refugee or permanent resident, referrals to other queer organizations, and more.
2SLGBTQIA+ Care Partner Dementia Support Group
A 2SLGBTQIA+ support group for caregivers of people living with dementia run by Alzheimer Calgary, in partnership with Calgary Outlink. The group is open to anyone part of 2SLGBTQ+ communities in Calgary and surrounding areas, and is caring for someone living with dementia. Meetings are facilitated by Alzheimer Calgary, and not Calgary Outlink facilitators.
Affirming Voice Classes
This 9 week program aims to provide you with the support, knowledge and skillset to find your affirming voice. In it we’ll explore the different ways we generate sound; learn to access many of different facets of our voice; and, be supported in experimenting with these new skills in finding a way to use our voice that fells comfortable, authentic and affirming to each individual.
This program is trans-led and run in small groups (online: max. 12 | in-person: max 8) to ensure that all participants in the program are able to also get 1-on-1 support from the instructor.
Between Men
A community group for queer men, including cis men, trans men, transmasculine people, and anyone under the masculine identity umbrella who is gay, bi, pan, toric, queer, questioning, or are otherwise attracted to guys.
Calgary Rainbow Railroad Station
The Calgary Rainbow Railroad Station is a joint partnership between the Centre for Newcomers, End of the Rainbow, Rainbow Railroad, and others. It assists refugees by creating sponsorship groups, and helping refugees find housing, food, language training, and more.
Camp fYrefly
Camp fYrefly is a social and personal leadership retreat for 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 14-20 that takes place at YMCA Camp Chief Hector in Kananaskis, Alberta.
Caring Hearts
This space is for families, parents, and caregivers of trans and gender diverse children, youth and teens. It full of sharing and caring around the challenges, questions, successes and joy that come from affirming parenting and raising a trans or gender diverse child.
CATTY: Creativity & Art-based Therapy for Trans Youth
Creative Art-based Therapy for Trans Youth (CATTY) is a program for trans and gender diverse youth 13-17 which provides the opportunity to explore and growth as individuals as well as build values skillsets to navigate the world around us through the format of creative exploration & expression.
Centre for Sexuality Counselling
Short-term counselling related to relationships, sexuality, gender and sexual diversity and sexual health, for anyone in Alberta.
Colleqtive
A community group for racialized 2SLGBTQ+ community members. This includes community members who are Black, Indigenous, and people of colour. This group is a closed space, only for those who the group is intended for. Join us in a colleqtive community space together!
ConnecTeen
ConnecTeen is Distress Centre Calgary's teen & youth mental health helpline, offering confidential support by text, phone, or chat 24/7.
DBT Skills Program
Skipping Stone runs DBT skills groups for trans and gender diverse adults (18+). Because their groups are facilitated by registered mental health providers, they are only open to residents of Alberta.
The program is aligned with dialectical, cognitive behavioural, and mindfulness-based models and focuses on problem-solving and acceptance-based strategies.
Distress Centre Crisis Support
Distress Centre provides 24 hour crisis support by phone, text and chat to Calgary and southern Alberta. Anyone can contact Distress Centre when they’re in crisis to speak with a highly trained responder, receive emotional support and feel heard. All conversations are confidential.
Distress Centre Face-to-Face Counselling
Distress Centre provides free, general, short-term crisis counselling. One to six counselling sessions are provided to help support an individual, family, or couple coping with a crisis. Please note that DCC does not provide specialized assessments or treatment for specific mental health/psychiatric disorders.
Distress Line of Southwestern Alberta
The Distress Line of Southwestern Alberta is a 24-hour phone support for individuals experiencing a crisis. Sometimes you just need to talk to someone. The trained staff of the Distress Line, operated by the Canadian Mental Health Association, will listen, and if you like to know what services or options are available to you, they can refer you to the right agency.
Flowing Hearts
This group hold room for non-binary, genderqueer, genderfluid & all folks to share with community beyond the binary and is about helping us understand how we want to grow, and how we can live authentically.
From Me to We
From Me to We is a program that creates a safe and welcoming space just for transgender, Two-Spirit, non-binary and gender non-conforming youth aged 14-17 to build knowledge, skills, confidence, and social connection.
Gays and Good Reads
Gays and Good Reads is an opportunity for queer men aged 18 and older to engage in meaningful discussions centered around literature that explore health, culture, relationships and the lived experiences of queer men.
GBMSM STI Testing
Safeworks Outreach Program in collaboration with Centre for Sexuality offers various nursing services for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM), including cis, trans and other gender diverse folks.
Grabba Java
Looking for a friendly check-in with your community? Grab a drink and join us as we share in each other's company! This is a safe space for anyone who is a part of 2SLGBTQ+ and allied communities.
Hearts and Crafts
This is a casual meet-up space for queer, trans and ally youth and adults, and their friends and family (pretty much everyone!) to connect through creativity. Work on a facilitator lead project or work on your own projects in the space together. Art supplies provided.
Indigiqueeries
Indigiqueeries is a cafe series for Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer people to come together and share space and connection. We strive to build community and inspire creativity with every discussion. Join us to connect, share and discuss hot topics related to Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer identities and beyond.
Inside Out
For 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18 along with their friends, families, and supporters. We aim to create fun, affirming, and friendly spaces for queer and trans youth!
Josh Brown Wellness Program
A hub to foster meaningful interaction with 2SLGBTQIA+ community members experiencing barriers to well-being; and collaboratively develop safe, supported, and sustainable pathways to the resources necessary to support hope, healing and joy.

A community group for those whose identities are informed and understood in relation to experiences of queer womanhood, including trans, non binary, and cis folks as they feel comfortable in this space.

Outlink Peer Support
Outlink is pleased to offer peer support services to the community. You are welcome to reach out for support, referrals, or to simply have a chat with us. We're happy to meet for a one-time session, or to have regular check-ins for as long as you need.
Pawsitive Pathways: Animal-Assisted Wellness
Pawsitive Pathways provides trans, queer and ally youth (aged 12-24) with an 8-week wellness program that utilizes the profound bond between humans and animals to facilitate growth and resiliency.
PCE Drop-in Single Session Counselling
Drop-in Single Session Counselling is a program offered by The Family Centre, with funding from United Way and the City of Edmonton. Here, there is free counselling offered by Intern Therapists that is available to individuals, couples—and families, too.
QueerOUT Youth Programming
A dedicated space for queer, trans, non-binary and gender diverse youth (ages 12 – 24) to to explore and affirm identity, engage in fun activities, peer support, and find affirming care and support. It is also a place to connect to community that celebrates Queer Joy!
Rainbow Elders Calgary
Rainbow Elders Calgary organizes various social events for 2SLGBTQ+ seniors, including picnics, coffee socials, and meetups.
SAAA Events
The Society of Alberta Asexuals and Aromantics (SAAA) hosts social events for those on the asexual and aromantic spectrums, both online and in cities across Alberta.
Skipping Stone Lending Library
Skipping Stone's lending library hosts an extensive collection of books featuring trans and gender diverse authors, protagonists and/or content carefully curated by trans and gender diverse identified staff members at Skipping Stone.

The Southern Alberta Queer Group is an online community where folks can meet, share experiences, stories, and conversation, or just hang out and enjoy community.
Stonewall Recovery
Stonewall Recovery Centre exists to improve the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals impacted by addiction through specialized, innovative treatment programs and enhanced community partnerships on a local and national level.

Top Surgery Support Group
These groups are for trans masculine & non-binary folks 16 and over who are considering having or planning to have chest reduction, reconstruction, or mastectomy type surgeries who live in Alberta.
Totally Outright
Totally Outright helps queer folks build capacity in sexual, mental, physical and relational health, while unpacking systems of oppression affecting our community.
Trans Board Game Nights
A casual meetup for trans and gender diverse folks and their families, bio or chosen, to play board games and get to know each other. Includes entry to D6 (feel free to stay until close if you like!).
Trans Neurodivergent Group
This group focuses around holding space to explore, share and celebrate the unique intersection of gender and neuro divergence in our communities.

You Matter
You Matter is a non-crisis peer support and resource line for 2SLGBTQ+ community members in Calgary, run by Calgary Outlink. The support line launched on September 6th, 2022, and is operated by Outlink volunteers. You can call about anything you’re looking for support with, including identity, relationships, coming out, transitioning, community, resources, and more!
